Ger, Houshin Engi is WEIIIIIRRRRRDDDDDDD! ^^;; Not that it's not cool too, but it's a total acid trip. I have 2 volumes of the anime, and ordered the third just before it got pulled (ADV just picked up commercial rights). You can borrow my tapes if you want.
Somevery high quality animation, and some interesting computer effects (they aren't very seamless, IMHO).
Something about an anime where the main character rides a large talking yellow hippopotamus names Supposuchan... and a clown with scary pupiless eyes riding on a giant fluffy talking kitten.... makes me @_@;;;;;.

Heeee! Ger, I have several of the things on your want list... The GW, RK, Macross: DYRL, X, and I'll have the DNA2. And QS has most of the rest. But I'd like to find the rest of the Macross stuff as well! Keep in mind I have the complete dubbed if you get desperate-- the dub job really isn't that bad, in most cases.
In other news, I've become suddenly obsessed with the series Generator GAWL. I MUST see this series! ^^;; I may even have to buy the dubs *shudder*, though I'd much rather find subtitled versions. Damn ADV! I dl'd a .MOV of the OP, and found myself intrigued. A little digging reveals that the series isn't THAT special or unique... or is it? The animation seems simple, but also has very clean crisp lines and vibrant colors. I want GG! *_*

What a crappy day.
If it wasn't enough that I haven't been feeling well for days, seemed like nothing went right today.
First of all, the air conditioner has been possessed by some psychotic youma of the malicious kind. Unfortunately, I had already passed out on my floor for several hours before I noticed (and of course I was home alone, so no one was around to notice I'd passed out... had a lovely raging fever....) that the air conditioner, set on cool, was in fact blowing heat into the house. When I regained conciousness, the first thing I noticed was that I felt like shit. The second thing I noticed was the peculiarly 'burned ozone' smell coming from the computer ^^;;. Poor thing was overheating. Which led me to the thermostat, which was registering 94°. Oh, Joy. So I had to shut my computer down (the fans/motor were/was about to burn up) and open the doors and windows and turn the fans on to cool everything down.
So, crisis averted, even if I still felt like shit.
Then I had a major fight with my dad. I think we're not speaking to each other. Mostly about stupid things, and we were both overly-stressed and not feeling well, but still... if he wanted someone to boss around, and to snap to it saying "Sir, Yes Sir!", he should never have retired from the army. No offense to Ger, or anyone else in the military-- but one of my dad's major failings is that he's been a Col. too long, and is too used to issuing commands and expecting them to be (immediately) obeyed. I'm his daughter, not his subordinate. Sometimes he strains the bonds of filial patience too far. Sometimes I have to remind him about the little niceties which goes along with normal civilian socialization. Bleghhh.
On the upside, I went dumpster diving and found two very sparkley Weiß Kreuz fics! *_* I will be a Chihuahua princess yet!
Tin, no worries/hurries on that manga. I know all about being overwhelmed by email; in fact, the only reason I put it in blog was because I was to lazy to email you about it ^0^. Talk to you soon, neeeee? *huggles*

Well, I've been knee-deep in fansubs for several days. What fun! My poor VCR is going to explode... or implode.... Well, I did manage to make an order for Seikaden Houshin Engi V.3, Wedding Peach V.2, and the complete Legend of Basara, so that's something nice to look forward too.
Mearl, I wish I could find an animated gif to stare at until a murderous rage rises up within me. I tried staring at the bent tines of my plastic fork at lunch, but after awhile I just felt hungry, so I ate. ^^;;
Reading your blog makes me realize that I have NEVER made a Legion related layout. Wow, now I'm going to be thinking about that.
Reread Left Hand of Darkness last night-- that is such an incredible novel.
Ger, latest buzz is that the Animorphs series is ending after four more books-- looks like things are seriously heating up!
Erik drew two gorgeous Mitsukake fanarts, and one of them is nude! H_H Go check 'em out at Seishiga.
Speaking of Mitsukake, I have claimed yet another Mitsukake cel. It's not a key cel, and his eyes are almost closed, but it's from Episode 16 (even if it was one of the poorest quality episodes, technically, the cel is about five years old), and it was cheap. Cels are an unhealthy passion, and unfortunately I can almost guarantee that the resale value (HA! Like I'd ever part with my precious Mitsukake!) will be low... c'mon, where would I find someone else as rabidly devoted to Mits as I am? But then, I've literally run out of other Mitsukake merchandise to lust after, so..... ^_^V

Well, I think I managed to totally freak Moonsong out last night with that Weiß MPEG. It's a very nice video; you gotta love the Nun. ;) What a freakish coincidence.
;_; I can't believe Legion Lost #12! *blubbers* Garth, one of the founders, is dead. Jan is dead. Garth KILLED Jan and Jan KILLED Garth! But before he killed Jan, Garth removed his Legion Flight ring! *sobbles* And Brainy CRIED?! I have got to get this one! *ears perk* Mearl, did you say collection version?
I'm still totally in shock about Jan. I mean, sure... he's the only character who truly didn't understand death as a tragic thing... but to let him become so twisted as to become psychotic? *shakes head*
One last Legion note-- Mearl, WHAT LEGION ACTION FIGURES?????!!!!!! Scaaaaaaans? Where'd you get 'em? I GOTTA have 'em! *_* They'll go so nicely with my Umbra figure (and does this mean I can abandon my Imra project?).

Jenchan, this song really is quite addictive. The other night I had it on repeat for hours (I'm the kind who obsesses over songs like that... maybe that's why Cowboy obsesses over French Fries for days at a time, then suddenly finds his life will not be complete unless he's obsessing over Dirty Pig). And Lo! I have invented a new smiley: -.-# Kudos to anyone who figures it out (Jen doesn't count, I already spilled the beans).
Mearlchan, of course I remember! That was pretty damn cool =). And I agree-- we NEED to write a good LOSH fic. Your Utena/LOSH fusion was awesome, but unfortunately you've totally limited your audience to those who know both-- LOSH fans wouldn't know what the hell to do with a Rose Bride Brainiac ^_~. And Shoujo Kakumei Laurelgand is a bit... scary... for Utena fans, especially if they know me! MUAHAHAHA. But, I have a cool fic idea! Let's get together and write a fic where Rokk ends up being the Time Trapper-- uh, wait... I know! We can have Dragonmage accidentally unlease Mordru from his imprisonment and then-- oh. Okay, okay! We'll write a really wild gritty five years after story and then introduce a bunch of younger clones and no one will know who's the real Legion and-- uh, darn. *snaps fingers* I got it! We can have Jan go stark raving mad and kill off one of the founders! No one will be expecting that!
-.-;; Or maybe we can just write a fic where everyone gets fed up with "Imra shacking up with Jo like the postboot ho-bitch she is" and kill her. Then Brainy can invent something to bring an Ice Queen Imra from an alternate dimension to take her place. And they can fry Proty II at the stake to bring Garth back to life. Heh.
